After 19 years as journalist, newsreader and editor in chief of the RTBF television news, Thierry De bock has joined Proximedia s.a., Belgium's first web agency, to develop a new concept called BEZOOM. BEZOOM s.a., founded on Thursday 22 February 2007, unites two types of know-how : the knowledge of Internet technologies and the vast experience gained by a journalist specialised in television. Thanks to its affiliated company Online Internet s.a., Bezoom has a data centre at its disposal, with the most powerful equipment, evolutionary connectivity and a team of engineers qualified in the management of high-level data flows. On the other hand Bezoom can count on Proximedi a's team of developers, which allows to integrate the techniques for compressing and broadcasting high definition videos on the Internet. For the audio-visual part, Bezoom has invested in brand new material, high definition cameras, a " Final Cut " cutting table, a film studio and it works with professional cameramen, cutters, producers and journalists. Bezoom's goal is to produce and broadcast Internet transmissions, reports and video clips, through three different products, video mail, web video for enterprises and web TV. BEZOOM's biggest trump is its ability to integrate all parameters, from the conception over the production to the broadcast and to limit the costs, offering nevertheless a complete quality service. Bezoom aspires to make television on the Internet accessible to everyone, both in Belgium and abroad. The possibilities offered by the Internet keep increasing and yet become more and more accessible; PME are often badly equipped to take advantage of this although they constitute the country's economical tissue. Today, only 100.000 in 700.000 PME in Belgium have a website. Very few of them use presentation films and even less have their own television
